AND YOUR BIRD CAN SING is the standout here. ms.RIGBY shoulda been its B-side. TOMORROW NEVER KNOWS made a dynamic introduction over the title credits, for the underrated gothic thriller, THE CRAFT. Even though it was a cover version, it maintained its power. TAXMAN features a wild guitar solo by the band's bass man. I WANT TO TELL YOU was covered years later, by heavy rocker Ted Nugent. I prefer the somber, reflective version featured on this album. oh my, oh my the hits just keep on coming from this album. to me, it is the white albums's only serious competition. and that is high praise indeed. SHE SAID SHE SAID is the only song of theirs that paul was not a participant to. listen and hear, if you can, the difference ( between songs with Paul's bass on them, which would be every song except for this one, and LONG AND WINDING ROAD, on which John plays bass.)
