Austin Powers cryogenically freezes himself in 1967 after his nemesis, Dr. Evil cry genetically freezes himself in space after he fails to assassinate Austin Powers. 30 years later, Austin Powers is thawed after the British Intelligence learns of Dr. Evil’s return and Austin learns that the world is different from when he was frozen. Dr. Evil plans to drill a nuclear warhead in the Earth’s core to trigger volcanic eruptions around the world. He plans to hold the world hostage for $100 billion dollars. It’s up to Austin Powers to save the world from Dr. Evil’s plans and to also adjust himself into the 90s. I found this movie funny and enjoyable since it is supposed to be a parody film to the James Bond film series. I would give this movie a 4/5 rating. @hibiscusflower of the Hamilton Public Library's Teen Review Board Austin Powers is the International Man of Mystery. He is a secret agent who was cryogenically frozen in the 1960’s. His arch nemesis is a man named Doctor Evil. Austin Powers would be unfrozen if Doctor Evil ever returns from space where he ran away to. When Doctor Evil eventually returns from space in the 1990’s, Austin Powers is unfrozen and he needs to acclimatize to the 90’s because there was a lot of changes since the 1960’s! This movie shows us how Doctor Evil and Austin Powers deal with one another and their on going battles. Tt is a great comedy and keeps you laughing with it’s silliness all the way through. You could even call it a “groovy”film! @rusty_reads of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
