Enjoyed this, mainly because of Jody Foster's performance. Most cast gave good performances but the hotel's strong arm, Everest, has an interesting relationship with Foster's character that I'd like to see go deeper in the story. (Plus it was unclear what happened to Everest.) The story felt kind of slapped together but it was mainly fun with only the nurse getting any real sympathy.

A memorable movie this is not. But of course you watch it anyway, to see the always-great Jodie in one of her increasingly rare performances.

Not a very well done movie. Jodi Foster is not the actor she once was - she was acting a role, rather than being in a role. The story line was very basic - no twists or turns. The one possible twist was not really developed. I watched, I saw, I will not watch it again. Nothing too memorable about this film. I was disappointed.

Not the greatest movie. But I can totally can see a huge Riot distory Los Angeles, especial with democrats running it.
But the movie is only worth watching once...

Watchable, but nothing like you'd expect. I wouldn't bother with watching it a second time, that's for sure.

Lots of tense build up to the action. Clever dialogue. Quirky and weird, but in a good way.

I loved the premise and the acting for this movie. But at the same time, I'm kind of glad that I didn't actually spend any money on this. I liked it, but it felt like there was a lot going on yet nothing really *happened*. Kind of felt like there was a lot that could have been eliminated or it needed to be greatly expanded on.

This movie is a freakin' delight!
It's one of those movies that is so perfect and well contained that you feel satisfied and aren't longing for a sequel to "explain that one thing...."
It's really well acted, doesn't stall for time, and just keeps the punches coming.

Great movie; great action!

The acting was good and I liked the concept. I especially really liked the relationship between Nurse and Everest, how they interacted together. However I found there were some scenes that added nothing to the story and outcome of the movie. While the main parts of the movie happened within and around the Artemis, the scenes about the riots in LA were too in the background and not fleshed out enough to be meaningful. If they had explained more about that element of the movie, and if it had more of an impact on what the characters were doing, it could have been great.

IMDb has some good ones already. Here are those on the rules of the Hotel, most not in IMDb:

Ah, that's against the rules. Yeah, I gotta run checks. You could be a serial, you could be a ped, you could be a terrorist.
That is also against the rules. Right there in the membership pack under "do not kill the other patients."
But rules are rules. If someone else gets here first, I can't hold the last room for him.
This hotel was built on two things, man's fundamental avarice and trust. Now, I break the rules in here, and nasty people got carte blanche to do the same.
You're lucky this place has rules.

I broke the rules once before. It worked out pretty good if you remember.
-It was different. I was just a kid.
I told you there are rules. I talked about this with...
-Rules, rules, rules. You say rules? Jeanie, without the rule-breakers, honey, where would you be?
We've got rules here, lady.
-How I got here, how you got here. The Nurse, too.
The rules keep the outside world fxcking outside, where they belong.
You know the rules. You take something from me, I gotta... give you back to the ocean.
Of course. She only kills important people.
Wait. You can't. That's against the rules!
Hey, no killing the other patients! My rule number one! How many times I gotta say it?
Apparently, you guys don't know the rules. Visiting hours are never.
Oh, what the fxck happened tonight?
-Well, people broke the rules. No guns, no guests, no bombs. No insulting staff, no killing the other patients. And no cops?
