[Update: Under Obama, civil liberties were set back incredibly - - with the authoritarian right they granted themselves to kill an American anywhere on the planet without due process - - or any other form of process. And President Obama's final action: granting complete access to raw data by all 17 intel agencies, more unbridled power to the professional thieves and embezzlers; reminds of how Clinton, in his final act in the White House, granted exemption from the US Constitution to all members of the intelligence community - - and that is one large group of highly questionable types!]
I have to give President Obama credit for at least one major change, under his administration, it is NOW legal for the government to propagandize the citizenry. Although not entirely his doing, but his continuation of the policies of Bush, Clinton, Bush, Reagan and Carter, he left the US foreign policy and national security in a complete shambles.
[Broken Promises: besides that hope and change thing - - no high-speed rail, promised by Obama many years ago - - still completely botched up electronic medical records systems - - promised by Obama many years ago - - yes, there have been many wait staff positions created during his 8 years!]
What a total and complete crock - - economic indicators [home ownership, new business and bank creation, labor participation in the workforce {which conveniently is used to make unemployment numbers appear so low}, et cetera] are on the negative side to a dramatic degree: compare and contrast this book with Frank's book, Listen, Liberals and Bill Press' book, Buyer's Remorse. Whenever I hear Obama give a speech, I am reminded of Richard Nixon, one of the self-styled elites who is laughing at the masses - - President Obama, within one year of vacating office, will be worth at least one-half billion dollars.
Would strongly suggest Lawrence Katz and Alan Krueger's study on those jobs created under Obama, along with the Rutgers University study pointing out that one-third of those jobs could not be verified.
