Well, this one was a disappointment to me. I understand that this series is supposed to be completely over the top and that has never bothered me. The first two books had parts that made me laugh out loud. This one? None. Zip. Nada. The storyline was fine, although I missed the whole light and breezy James Bond vibe. What I disliked was when Nicholas and Michaela started having bodice-ripping-almost-sex. Ugh. This is why I don't read romance novels. And then when Mike started behaving like a child over it I wanted to throw the book across the room. I guess the author is a romance novelist, which I didn't realize.

I didn't finish. Poor writing cannot be covered up by violence. Subject manner too close to home these days.

I won't be reading more books by this team. The dialogue between the characters is too colloquial for me, making it seem unbelievable and distasteful. The plot is current drawing in events from the news like the Middle East peace talks and the threat from extremist muslims. I think the 2 authors divide the writing of the chapters, one writing the bad guy storyline and the other the good guys storyline with each storyline showing up in separate chapters. Further, I think this story, written by females, is also written for females. I don't think males would care for this writing.

Enjoyable addition to the Brit in FBI series by Coulter. Filled with action that was non stop. Like the characters in this series and with the addition of several new ones this promises to be as fulfilling as her FBI series with Savich and Sherlock. Can't wait for the next book in this series.
