A return to the world of the Road Warrior, Max Rockatansky. Haunted by his turbulent past, he believes the best way to survive is to wander alone. Nevertheless, he becomes swept up with a group fleeing across the Wasteland in a War Rig driven by an elite Imperator, Furiosa. They are escaping a Citadel tyrannized by the Immortan Joe, from whom something irreplaceable has been taken. Enraged, the Warlord with his gangs, pursues the rebels ruthlessly in the high-octane Road War that follows.

I think that a more appropriate title for this SyFy drivel would have been "Mud Mux".

Did not really like this movie. It was not bad altogether but it definitely wasn't my favorite. Personally, I did not like the plot (i thought it was kind of lame), and because of the storyline wasn't that great either. I did like the action in the movie, it was the only thing that was interesting in the movie. I really do like the dystopian genre, but this movie just wasn't my favorite. But I am sure others may like it because some of my other friends really did enjoy this movie. Personally, I don't recommend this movie but if someone was to watch it I recommend people aged 13 and over to watch it. I give this movie a 2.5 out of 5 stars @terrificbooklover of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

5 Stars-One of the greatest action films of recent times, and a worthwhile addition to the Mad Max mythology. I would deem it the second best Mad Max AFTER The Road Warrior starring Mel Gibson. Action films can be well executed, thrilling and intelligent and this film succeeds on all fronts- George Miller does it again.

what putrid shit. really, I thought I was watching a bunch of methamphetamine freaks cavorting evilly around. who needs that? who likes that? the story is simple enough, as are speed junkies.

I don't think I'll ever get over the final shot of this movie. It's a masterpiece of its genre.

Even after two viewings, I feel as though I've only scratched the surface of Mad Max: Fury Road. George Miller's action fantasy is astonishingly dense for a big-budget spectacle, not only in its imagery and ideas but in the complex interplay between them.

Mad Max: Fury Road was financed by the Koch Brothers along with this summer's big blockbuster, Wonder Woman. Continued support of films like these lines the pockets of villainous men. Watch Maudie if you want to see an inspiring film about a real, and Canadian, woman.

I could pick at the odd awkward moment and the general implausibility of this world, but this is Mad Max: love it or leave it. If you have a problem with its message, that's on you. Action, design, acting, stunts are all wonderful, and its simple story is perfectly told. Fury Road respects its viewers enough to fill in gaps with their own imagination, and leave them wanting more. You wouldn't think there'd be room for much character development in an almost continuous chase movie, but Nicholas Hoult is touching and innocent as War Boy Nux. "I live, I die, I live again...."

Max Rockatansky: You know, hope is a mistake. If you can't fix what's broken, you'll, uh... you'll go insane.

Max self-intro: My name is Max. My world is fire and blood. Once, I was a cop. A road warrior searching for a righteous cause. As the world fell, each of us in our own way was broken. It was hard to know who was more crazy... me... or everyone else. ... I am the one that runs both from the living and the dead. Hunted by scavengers, haunted by those I could not protect. So I exist in this wasteland, reduced to one instinct: survive.
Furiosa: Hey. What's your name? What do I call you?
Max: Does it matter?
Furiosa: Fine. When I yell "fool," you drive out of here as fast as you can.
