I can't imagine a place with no cars but now I want to visit there. The location, the characters and the story were all fun and I look forward to the next book.

Evie Bloomfield is determined to win a promotion at work, even if that means babysitting Rudy, her boss’s injured father, on Mackinac Island. Unfortunately, what seemed like a straightforward assignment becomes complicated when Rudy is accused of murdering wealthy islander Bunny Harrington. Convinced of Rudy’s innocence, Evie sets out to find the real killer, enlisting the assistance of a failed fudge cook, a former Mafioso and the local newspaper editor. She’s going to need their help because the number of residents who wanted Bunny dead far outnumber her mourners.

Cozy mystery fans and those sick of winter will enjoy being transported to summertime on Mackinac with this lighthearted mystery. Recommended by K.L., Outreach Services, MCDL
