This book details the no holds barred confrontation in the Pacific during WWII between two mighty powers. I'm of course referring to the clash between the US Army (Generals MacArthur & Marshall etc) & Navy (Admirals King & Nimitz etc) as to who was going to get the glory (Army, Navy & individuals) for winning the war. Anyway, whatever one may think of him, the battle of egos was masterfully refereed by the President - FDR, who proved he was the better of all the military guys. At least according to the author! Do not be fooled by the title as it is not about MacArthur menacing America.

So far so good, but nothing I tap enables downloading the ebook...

MacArthur's crowning achievement was his attack on the Bonus Marchers during the Hoover Administration, helping to kill one hundred men, women and children. MacArthur excelled at killing American war veterans. (An excellent description of this is to be found in Sally Denton's outstanding book, The Plots Against the President.)
