I didn't read most of it, but what I did read disappointed me. This feels like a neurologist's opinionated ramblings, like chatting over a beer. That's nice in some ways, but in a book that attempts to objectively explain neuroscience to me, it doesn't work: I don't want opinions. I want to know the facts, but the book is so heavily mired in opinion that the facts feel biasedly, selectively chosen (unless theyre obvious and clear, like "x causes y").
Further, some chapters discuss human evolution and anthropology, but rarely reference the brain at all. If you are looking for a neuroscience book, find another (maybe "Healthy Brain, Happy Life").
