I don't know why people seem to bitch about Bendis. He's pretty great. On paper, this idea sounds terrible, to bring the original xmen into the future and leave them here, but he does it so well - it's really great. I love it. Among the very best of modern comic books. Especially X-books, which have really suffered for a while...

This is a pretty good issue. It is a good series, whether you are into x-men or not. Wolverine is portrayed as a very evil character in this series/book. Scott Summers is a very interesting character and it will be interesting to find out what he will do. I vote him as the leader for the Al New X-men.

The schism and tension continues to grow as the old New X Men's presence cleaves a line in the sand between Kitty Pryde and Scott Summers. I'm curious to see where this is all eventually heading.

More wretchedly bad writing from Bendis (a signature trait from him). The X-Men of the past seem unable to actually go back to where they belong, interacting with X-Men and others of the present. It's a hatchet job in terms of writing: Bendis is completely unable to write a character in character. Instead they are mere parrots for his obnoxious voice. He has no regard at all for continuity, and no skill as a writer. Unfortunately since he seems to be in tight with the management at Marvel, he's not going away any time soon.
