At 1:15 AM, a Minnesota political fixer answers his doorbell. The next thing he knows, he's on the floor of a moving car, lying on a plastic sheet, his body wet with blood. Lucas Davenport is investigating another case when the trail leads to the man's disappearance, then, very troublingly, to the Minneapolis police department itself, and then, most troublingly of all, to a woman who could give Machiavelli lessons.

I have read most of his books & I think I would have preferred to have read this one rather than listened to it.
The narrator does do an excellent job of narrating all the discs.
I do highly recommend 'Silken Prey', as a good read or an audiobook.

While this is another fairly decent "Prey" novel, there is an inconsistency at the beginning with negative and unsettling ramifications at the end. Also, there is a "glove" left mostly unresolved. Sanford has written better. 7 of 10 stars

I love John Sandford books and the guy that reads is outstanding, this audiobook is great and its worth listening to.
