One of the Fargo thrillers. One of the best, especially the nail-biter of an ending.

In the fourth book of the Fargo series, Sam and Remi find themselves on the hunt for the lost tomb of Attila the Hun. A fun romp, good action, decent plot and well-written characters. The Fargo series is just fun. A good choice for those who want a good adventure with a bit of history worked in. Fans of Indiana Jones will probably enjoy this.

formulaic, yes, but the climax is so over the top, the Cussler cameo is rather touching when you know the reality of it, and a different feel that is sleeker, smoother, not a complicated mystery, but a good book that i will reread.

First Cussler book I have not finished... ug

I found it difficult to get into and extremely formulaic. Cussler seems to have run out of new material

The Tombs --- by Clive Cussler. As usual, Cussler delivers a novel with lots of pow and bam. The hunt is on for the tombs and treasures of Attila the Hun. The action takes us across Europe, into Russia and finally back home to the US of A. This one, like his others just begs to be made into an action flick. A great book of the action and violence genre that Cussler is so good at.

I have always enjoyed reading Cusslers books. I couldn't get into this one. Read about 100 pages and had to put it down. I am very disappointed.

A switch in co-authors is for the best as the main characters, Sam and Remi Fargo, aren't as sappy as in previous books in this series. Good action yarn without a lot of the sanctimony of previous efforts.

i used to enjoy cussler books. until he began collaberation with other authors , They have lost the edge,and supensefull descriptive style . if uto read him now, stick with the new stuff as u will be sorely disappointed if u begin to read the older and then the new awfull stuff

Husband-and-wife team Sam and Remi Fargo are intrigued when an archaeologist friend requests their help excavating a top secret historical site. What they find will set them on a hunt for a prize greater than they could ever imagine. The clues point to the hidden tomb of Attila the Hun, the High King who was reportedly buried with a vast fortune of gold and jewels and plunder . . . a bounty that has never been found. As they follow the trail through Hungary, Italy, France, Russia, and Kazakhstan—a trail that they discover leads them not to one tomb, but five—the Fargos will find themselves pitted against a thieving group of amateur treasure hunters, a cunning Russian businessman, and a ruthless Hungarian who claims direct descent from Attila himself . . . and will stop at nothing to claim the tombs’ riches as his own. {}
