Confident and capable, young Joe Trona appears to have a promising future. It is his past that weights him down with a lifelong facial scar making him either the object of ridicule or fright. Joe is the adoptive son of powerful politician, Will Trona, who suddenly meets his demise from a trio of gunmen. Turning detective, Joe investigates Will’s past to track down those responsible for his father's murder. Well-kept secrets and the kidnapping of a child keep Joe busy throughout this satisfying story.
