This was well written but I didn't enjoy it. Which, is my own issues. I can't think of any reasons why I should dislike this book that are objective. Personally, I had issues with the way she nonchalantly talked about killing herself like it was just a regular thing on her "to-do" list. I'm sure that is because she is Manic. The book was hard to get through. The only reason I would recommend this book is the same reason my boyfriend said he enjoyed the book, it shows you what other people are going through. It helps us to understand things we'd never gone through and what it feels like.

The image in the catalog for this book is incorrect: the image is for "The Good Rat" by Jimmy Breslin, not "Manic" by Terri Cheney.

I loved it. It was helpful in understanding bipolar disorder, and still entertaining. very well-written.
