Excellent book. The ending was a shock, but fit perfectly with the rest of the story and didn't have that cheap "gotcha!" feel that many twist endings have.
You don't have to be a Poe fan to enjoy it, but it'll make you want to learn more about him.
Highly recommended!

Another great book from Mr. Bayard. The ending a complete surprise and a very hauntingly written last page.
