Enjoyed almost all of the movies advertised.

Predictable storyline. An average touchy-feely-overcome adversity film. Not bad, not great. It was a mindless watch and better than expected.

The story just didn't hold up, they need better writers, but there are some great actors, sets costumes. It fills an evening

This movie was entertaining. I didn't find it very funny. A miss for Melissa, I think. Not a great storyline.

I wish this had been a better movie. Melissa McCarthy is such a funny actress and the concept of a mom going back to college with her daughter had a lot of potential. There were a few good bits and good lines here and there, but most of…

This movie could have been a very tired story but Melissa McCarthy made me laugh out loud many times! The actress who plays her daughter was a little bit uninspired but the sorority best friends nail it! I would watch this alone or with…

A beautiful movie that shows education can be achieved by anyone at any age, and you can have a whole lot of fun while achieving it!

So for those of you lucky who didn't attend college when your kids were college age, or have husband walk out on you just when you thought it was time for a second honeymoon, let me just say this is not as much of a fantasy as you think.…

Melissa McCarthy tries her best to lift a tired story about a wife and mother who goes back to finish her college degree after her husband dumps her for someone else. It must be a small world because mom ends up at the same university as…

I watched this on a flight from England back to Vancouver, and aside from a scene where McCarthy and her friend (played by Maya Rudolph) get drunk together in the most unlikely of places as well as a few other funny scenes in the movie…

Average light hearted comedy movie. A few scenes we found mildly amusing but was expecting much more.

One of the worst movies ever made. Total vanity project - her husband directed it, she and her husband wrote it and I think they produced it. Humorless and ridiculous. After watching the Oscar worthy, Can You Ever Forgive Me it seems that…

Not a great movie. An Attempt at making a McCarthy chick flick.

Intention was to make a comedy. Wishful thinking. Stop giving giving Melissa Mccarthy crap comedy projects. She's talented but her people are failing in her project choices.

Skip the cheap knockoff and watch a far superior "Back to School" (Rodney Dangerfield).

This movie held my attention from beginning to end, and had a couple of reveals within the movie that made it feel like it was worth my time. The first reveal was probably the funniest point of the movie. As a guy watching a…

Silly, predictable, implausible plot. Melissa McCarthy is always a joy to watch; it's a shame she doesn't have more to sink her teeth into here. There were some fun moments but overall I can't really recommend it. Maybe things have…

Not funny at all. Not interesting, either. Watched the 1st hour and decided it wasn't worth finishing.

Okay, definitely not McCarthy at her finest. I felt she was indulging her ego as she is in every scene, and was obviously given carte blanche on this project. A few chuckles, but overall a tepid effort.

This comedic movie features many famous female leads such as Melissa McCarthy, Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, and many more. The movie is about a housewife whose husband just left her, so she decides to return to school and…

Skip It - embarrassing situation about a mother returning to school and hanging out with her daughter's friends; that should say it all. I grew to like Melissa McCarthy films but this is not one of them. I found Mother is a Freshman (1949)…

a cringefest of terrible jokes. I was embarrassed for the cast every-time they had to deliver one of their bad jokes that completely bombed. Melissa McCarthy doesn't get a pass by blaming the script either, She wrote the damn thing.

It's setup like it's a comedy but the jokes just didn't come. At least, for the first act there's nothing. Melissa McCarthy isn't all that funny to begin with, but at least in her other films there are a few laughs. This one is like…
