Sweet, and good character development. Most of it isn't too "on the nose"--subtly build-in, showing more than telling. Apart from the historical facts. Sometimes, it's a bit strange and frustrating; there are unmotivated characters and…

Read this book more then 5yrs ago and can’t wait to read it with my children as they grow a little older. It has some mature content, but would be okay for most later grades in elementary school.

I found this book in local little free library box, and although it was written for younger people, I really enjoyed it. Ada's voice rings true throughout the book. Her experiences are very believable. I highly recommend this book.

This was a great read about a girl in WWII England not only dealing with her own health and emotional challenges, but also upheaval and trust issues. It was a testament to the healing power of love.

This juvenile book, set during WW2, was so interesting to read. I was in a phase of overload with WW2 books when reading this book, and I was glad that it didn't focus on Germany, and on the concentration camps. This book focuses on life…
